WHAT IS CHURCH LIKE?
Our Worship starts in the sanctuary at 10:00am. If you have children 4 or under you are welcome to bring them to the nursery, but you are equally welcome to bring them into the worship service. There is a cry room in the back of the sanctuary with live video and audio feeds.
You will be warmly greeted when you walk into the building. Expect members to be talking and greeting each other in the welcome center as well as in the sanctuary. Once ten o’clock comes we begin with announcements and the call to worship. There will be a scripture reading followed by a response of prayer and singing. This pattern of “God Speaking” and “His People Responding” continues throughout the service as we find what the morning’s primary text reveals about God, what it reveals about man, what it reveals about the redemptive work Christ, the primary message of the text, and how we should respond. Throughout this progression we read scripture, utilize confessions/catechisms/creeds, sing, pray, and listen to the Word preached.
When the service ends the fellowship continues. Expect our people to greet you and share the things of Christ with you. If lunch isn’t happening in the fellowship hall it is happening somewhere… The Christian life is life together. It is not uncommon for our people to remain at church from Sunday School until well after the evening prayer service.
